Head to picturesque Blakeney for a spot of crabbing, a popular Norfolk pursuit, or journey east or west from here and travel along the beautiful coastline, visiting lots of lovely seaside towns and villages along the way, for a day of exploration and discovery, all offering a diverse range of coastal habitats. Head to Cromer and walk along its famous pier, or to Wells-Next-The-Sea and explore the much photographed quay and painted beach huts. Potter around the Georgian market town of Holt with its abundance of artisan cafés, shops and restaurants. You could be at the gateway to the Norfolk Broads in just over 45 minutes, a beautiful rural area offering a range of walking and cycling routes for the more active members of the family. Also within easy reach lie the Thursford and Muckleburgh Collections, BeWILDerwood, Amazonia Zoo, Blickling and Holkham Halls, the North Norfolk Railway, Sheringham Park and Pensthorpe Nature Reserve and lots more besides.
