An excellent holiday retreat, very quiet and peaceful. The accommodation is comfortable and well equipped and ideal if self-catering is desirable. Local amenities are a little more sparse and it is necessary to drive to most places. Local food shops are not that cheap. The local pub within a mile is quite poor, it is a little shabby and food is very hit and miss. When asked if food was available the day following our first and only visit the reply was "yes, if the chef turns up" !!! Not recommended. The Hot Tub is a nice touch and very luxurious, ideal for children as well as adults. I would be happy to return to this accommodation again for a nice relaxing break from busy city life.

Great cottage and facilities that was beautifully presented and fantastically clean. On arrival we were met by Sally who showed us to the cottage and a quick run down of what we needed to know. We had a wonderful weekend and made full use of the hot tub which was a great extra to the overall enjoyment of the accommodation. We would not hesitate to either recommended to friends or to return in the future

Lovely cottage, we were very comfortable. All amenities we needed. Wifi had excellent signal as did our mobile signals. Our dog too loved the enclosed garden and looking at various wildlife in the owners' adjacent farm kept her amused. We took 2 cars and there was plenty of room to park both. Owner, Sally greeted us and was most helpful, and the cakes, bread, tea and milk she left for us a bonus. Even better, my partner left some clothes behind, and Sally kindly returned them too her without delay at no further cost. Extremely grateful.

Lovely cottage, situated within a mile from beach and shops. Sally and Neil really lovely and very helpful. Based on a small farm with geese, ducks hens, a pig and a few cows. Very quiet and peaceful giving us the rest we needed to recharge our batteries. Dog friendly as well, fenced area around the bungalow. The hot tub was very well looked after and checked on a daily basis which is essential. I am very fussy about this. The only reason I have not given it perfect ratings is purely personal as I would have liked cloths, mops and cleaning products in the chalet plus you have to go and get a hoover from another barn which is inconvenient although a long handled brush is provided in the bungalow. There was a lovely cake, chocolates, bread and essentials provided on arrival and a vase of flowers in the lounge. The area is very flat making it great for those with wheelchairs or motorbility scooters, Skegness beach cleaned every day, although you have to walk about 200 metres to get to the dog friendly part which is not as nice as the main drag, and the same for Chapel St Leonards.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; How kind of you to put a very accurate description of nesting box and area on your review. We try our best to maintain the cottage to the highest standard possible. It is true there in no mop bucket in the cottages this is because they are kept in the laundry room, which I do prefer. There is no vacuum cleaner in that cottage because of storage, but one is always available to use if required. Many thanks again.

Immaculate cottage, tastefully decorated with quality furniture, fixtures and fittings. A very warm welcome from Sally who left us tea and cake which was a thoughtful touch. The location was so peaceful and relaxing, we loved the chickens, pig and donkeys ! We both slept very well in a comfy bed and fabulous top of the range bed linen. Well equipped kitchen with all mod cons. And the hot tub was a real treat. Will definately recommend tl family and friends and would love to go back.

Location is way out of everything. Says online 5 minute walk to beach and it was more like 50 minute walk on busy roads. So had to drive everywhere. Local pub was shockingly bad!!! And even that was a 10 minute walk. Not a good location to have cottages to rent out!! Cottage itself lovely great fun in hot tube. Lovely welcome treats. But as Our honey moon not that great to be honest

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for saying our cottage is lovely, we work very hard to make it so. The write up itself is perfect, we are actually set in a peaceful, rural setting 3/4 of a mile from the beach of Chapel st-Leonards. I walk it daily and it takes me 25 minutes on foot, 5 minutes in the car, which is the reason I have so many loyal customers return. It is 10 minutes walk from here to the pub, I am sorry you did not enjoy it there.
