We really enjoyed all the character, the antiques, the aga, the pretty garden and our friendly hosts. Great Easton and the surrounding villages are picture perfect. Good restaurants a short drive away.

This is a lovely holiday cottage in a beautiful, peaceful location and with very welcoming owners. We arrived 7pm on a Saturday evening, and the 'meet and greet' was great! There are numerous things we really liked. The cottage is very spacious and very peaceful - you can even hear the resident squirrels going about their work! We both loved the antique 'vibe' and the kitchen was fantastic with a gas Aga and masses of space. The location is lovely with a small local shop (the pub was closed) and plenty of walks nearby. The price was excellent and we really enjoyed our stay, which included a mixture of work and pleasure. Lots of loo rolls, lovely large beds that were comfy - fantastic. The bathroom is fully equipped, and the water was piping hot so this was fab, too. If I'm being honest, there were a few things that didn't quite meet our expectations and although very minor things, they are easily sortable and therefore can be rectified with very little effort. There were a couple of light bulbs that didn't work in the lounge area. The sink in the kitchen was dirty - something had been used in the sink prior to our arrival and then not wiped/cleaned afterwards. There is a large net curtain on the back door for privacy purposes, which had a large brown stain on it, which I am sad to say I noticed straight away. This is me being very pedantic but it didn't look great, to be honest. The last thing we noticed was although eggs, tea and coffee were kindly provided, there was tiny quantity of milk in a small jug. It was enough for us to make one hot drink, but how much does it cost to buy a pink of milk rather than offering a tiny amount that just frustrates the guest, particularly is you arrive late following a day at work? Finally the wi-fi connection was poor. While certainly not the fault of the owners, as our visit was work-based for a good part of it, this was very frustrating. My suggestion would be, if not already explained in the cottage description, it should say "wi-fi is available but subject to a varied connection." Realise some folks don't want wi-fi, but then again, it's something that today is almost expected, like it or not. Overall we enjoyed our stay and the owners left us to our own devices, which I always appreciate. We would stay again if we were in the area.

Wonderful holiday in a lovely location. The area is rich in history with many gardens and country houses to visit. The cottage was excellent - full of interesting antiques, but very well equipped and heated. The gas AGA was a joy once we were used to it.

Styling of the interior is great with 2 sitting rooms. Lot's of character. However the interior is very dark (not a lot of windows). We felt a bit locked up in this cottage. The owners are living in the attached main house and are very kind and leave you alone (that's good). It was very warm the week we stayed and the kitchen was equipped with an AGA that was constantly burning. The temparature in the kitchen was 30 degrees !!!. It felt liked a sauna so we only used it twice. We are not familiar with an AGA. Some will love it. We hate it (the AGA that is). Outside space is limited and not private. There is some garden furniture. Nice to look at but not useable/practical. The ramp from the road to the property is pretty steep. So if you own a car with low ground clearance you will scratch your bumper.

This cottage is ideally located for Walking, Cycling & Fishing enthusiasts. It has been modernised to give you all the comforts of home yet the owners have succeeded in keeping its character. Only a short walk away there is a Post Office/Shop here you can buy some necessary staples but for your main shopping you will have to go to Corby where there is a Aldi and a Asda superstore. Not far from the shop there is the local pub unfortunately they do not server meals but it is a pleasant place to have a drink. The owners of the cottage have provided a list of where to go for meals and places to see. The owners are very friendly and pleasant to talk to my brother and I had a number of conversations with them. THIS COTTAGE HAS BEEN PLACED ONTO OUR TO GO AGAIN LIST.

The cottage is beautiful and has lots of charm. We had fun using the Aga for cooking. Everything you want in a holiday let was there. The owners were very helpful. Would recommend this property highly for location and comfort.
