Glass doors lead you out onto the patio, where you can soak up the sunshine beside the stream. The kitchen is spacious with a central table where you can all enjoy meals together. The ground floor also has a kingsize bedroom, plus, there is a family bathroom. Up the stairs to the first floor there are a further two kingsize bedrooms, one with an en-suite bathroom, and a separate shower room. Sandsend is a gorgeous little coastal village, and at low tide you have a vast expanse of soft sand, whilst at high tide on stormy days the waves are spectacular and crash over the sea walls. In the village itself there are some wonderful cafés, a small local shop and friendly local pub, as well as a popular restaurant. The picturesque town of Whitby draws guests from all around the world, with its cobbled old town road lined with quirky independent shops and cafés, and the iconic Abbey at the top of the cliff. The epic landscape of the North York Moors National Park can be explored by foot, car or even steam train, the heritage railway runs from Whitby to Pickering and stops at some beautiful villages along the way. You may recognise Goathland from the TV series ’Heartbeat’, or from Harry Potter as the location was used as Hogsmeade.
From surfing or paddle boarding at the local surfing school, taking in the breath-taking views on one of the many hiking or cycle trails, or even discovering the varied seafaring heritage of the nearby coastal towns, you can do as much (or as little) as you wish. The location is fabulous. Following the coastline, you have the Cleveland Way walking trail, leading up north towards Runswick Bay, Staithes and Saltburn, or to the south you have Whitby, Robin Hood’s Bay, Ravenscar and Scarborough, all of which are ideal for days out and have their own character and charm. There is so much to see and do, you are sure to fall in love with the area as well as this stunning cottage. Beach ½ mile. Shop 1¼ mile, pub and restaurant ¼ mile.
