The majority of the double glazed windows were blown at first we thought they were very dirty that spoilt the outlook. There were no cleaning products at all we had to buy various cleaning items which I thought was very odd.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your response regarding your recent stay at Gearys. We are deeply disappointed with your comments following your week's visit. Regarding your point concerning cleaning materials, we provide washing-up liquid, a j-cloth, a sponge scouring pad, liquid soap, and initial dish-wash tablets and washing capsule for laundry. There is also a hoover, sweeping brush, dustpan and brush, mop and bucket. Our cleaner prepares the property thoroughly before our guests' arrival; therefore, we do not expect our guests to have to get involved in any other cleaning as they are on holiday. For this reason we do not provide a full range of cleaning products. Regarding the windows, they have been cleaned and some (not all) will need replacing at some point. However, they are safe, secure, and do not let any draughts in, as they are double-glazed. To say that they spoiled your view is an over-exaggeration and no previous guests have ever mentioned the windows. We would like to make one further comment regarding your ratings, particularly 6 (value for money) since Gearys is a well-equipped and spacious bungalow which will accommodate up to 7 guests in a beautiful part of West Wight and your low score is completely unfair. Furthermore, regarding your scores on areas such as location and amenities, we suggest that you may like to do some research on an area in future if you require a livelier holiday destination. West Wight is renowned for its scenic tranquillity and is a lovely destination for walking, cycling, beaches, etc. It has many good pubs and restaurants to choose from and a leisure centre nearby. It does not offer amusement parks with seaside slot machines, etc. unlike resorts such as Ryde or Sandown. Thank you for your feedback.

Return visit to this lovely clean holiday home, with everything you would need. Nowhere is too far away on the IOW,so lots of things to do. We had a very comfortable, enjoyable week and would go back.

An excellent base for exploring Wight West. Very comfortable accommodation with loads of room well maintained. The only real problem we had was in locating the bungalow. The mall was a very poor road better avoided. Would recommend coming off the Avenue into Amos Avenue then the Mall for a very short distance to Farthings Way.
