A cottage in a very nice part North Yorkshire. This is a nice cottage, however it is let down by a few things that could easily be remedied. There is no coffee table in the lounge area to put anything on. We ended up using the two stools for the breakfast/island. There is no adequate storage space for a weeks worth of food. A fixed island would give more cupboard space. The idea of eating at opposite ends of the island doesn't really work/appeal. Went to use the oven. Eventually found the PowerPoint for it in the cupboard under the stairs. Couldn't get the dishwasher or the extractor fan/hood to work. No sign of a power supply for them. Phoned the agent about it,said they would find out and call back. NEVER did. Storage in the bedroom not practical. Relocate the radiator, in its place put a decent sized chest of drawers and remove the small chest of drawers from the walk in wardrobe thereby making the wardrobe usable. More storage could be afforded by replacing the tiny bedside shelves with bedside cupboards. The shower/bath in the bathroom is a pain to use, although very powerful. Again nowhere practical to put anything. In all, what could be a very nice cottage with a few changes.Maybe people who refurbish holiday cottages should try living in them for a week. Really when you are paying alot of money for a holiday you would expect equal if not better than your own home. Luckily we had no problems with parking for the whole week as other people had.
