With rolling countryside views and beautiful walks on your doorstep, Buttercup Barn really is a place to switch off and relax. Of course, if activity is your thing you will be spoilt for choice as there is so much to offer on the beautiful Isle of Wight, from watersports, horse riding, golf and much much more. There is also an extensive variety of footpaths, bridleways and cycle routes just waiting to be explored. Firestone Copse, a beautiful woodland walk, is just a short drive across the creek.
Wootton Bridge has a number of local shops, and a good choice of takeaways and pubs. There are many places of interest and all just a short drive including Osborne House, the stately holiday residence of Queen Victoria, Quarr Abbey with its resident monks, and impressive Carisbrooke Castle. The Victorian town of Ryde is also a short drive and is the second major town on the Island. There are a variety of restaurants, bars, cafés and shops and the gently sloping sandy beach spans approximately a mile to Appley. Beach 1 mile.
