Pretty little cottage in a nice estate. Quiet but not remote at all, with easy access to Inverness, Loch Ness, Beauly and other local attractions. Although at night it might be a bit harder to find! Only “bad” comment I would make is the bed downstairs, the mattress is too soft! Other than that it’s lovely, especially for the price.

Comfortable cottage with 3 good sized bedrooms. Kitchen is adequately equipped, but would be a bit cramped if all 6 guests wanted to eat at the same time. Sitting room is nice and big. Lovely location and beautiful walks on Beaufort estate. It has some serious drawbacks: * Garden is unfenced and a lot of estate vehicles pass by just outside outside the window - could be a problem with small children. * Floorboards in kitchen creak so loudly (yes, really!) that it's impossible to get up for a cup of tea in the night without waking the whole household. * No internet and poor mobile signal. This is not a problem if you really want to get away from it all, but was difficult when we had a family emergency.

It would be useful to have more detailed operating instructions for the hob. We had to spend a lot of time working out how to switch it on. Also, a better explanation of how the night store heating works would have been useful. Everything worked out fine but, at the beginning the house was very cold, and we wondered if we would have heating!
