Those who are in love with the ’great outdoors’ will find the location of Burnside Park the perfect place to stay. This comfortable pine log cabin is well equipped for every modern day convenience including private parking for one car immediately in front of the lodge. In the open plan living space there are patio doors providing access straight on to the raised L-shaped wooden terrace which provides views of Skiddaw, Latrigg and as far as the Helvellyn range. Swallows occasionally nest above the terrace and the swallows feed at the small brook just 3 metres away and over the adjacent open fields. The furniture is fashionable, comfortable and high quality from the famous retro style brand, Ercol and there is convenient enclosed hanging space for outdoor clothing and boots. Enjoy a restful night’s sleep in the double bed with luxury pocket-sprung mattress, there is also ample wardrobe and storage space in here. The bathroom has a full-size bath with shower over, heated towel rail, over sink light, shaver and toothbrush sockets.
Situated in peaceful landscaped grounds at the foot of Latrigg and Skiddaw, with panoramic views of the Lakeland fells including Skiddaw, Latrigg and the more distant Helvellyn range. The quiet site is within short walking distance of Keswick town centre and has the additional benefit of both a pub and cafe just a few minutes walk away. Both the pub and cafe receive high praise for food and service and both welcome dogs. All this makes the lodge an ideal base to enjoy the amenities of Keswick without the hustle and bustle of the town itself.
