Yr Hen Bwthyn is a lovely Grade II listed cottage full of character and charm yet blending effortlessly with modern day life. All rooms are finished to a high-quality standard. The living room with a comfortable sofa and Smart TV. Through into the well-equipped kitchen with an oven, hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster and small dining table and chairs for enjoying a meal - everything you will need to cook up a Welsh breakfast. Head up to the first floor where you will find two bedrooms with a super kingsize and single bed configuration; both have quality mattresses and bed linen for a good nights sleep. The bathroom boasts a bath with shower over bath, basin and toilet.
Amenities and attractions are just a short stroll away, you will find bars, cafés, museums and galleries. Once you have parked the car, you may not need to move it until you leave. It really is a great retreat for anyone wishing to relax and enjoy the outdoors. There is lots to do in the area from the world-famous Llangollen steam railway and annual music festival, the Eisteddfod, to white water rafting on the river. You can head over to the historic town of Chirk where you can visit its castle or grab your walking boots and take a wander over the Pontcysyllte aqueduct and along the canal. The nearby Royal International Pavilion hosts a wide range of events throughout the year. Walks throughout the Vale of Llangollen, including to the ancient hilltop Castell Dinas Bran, can be made from the door, whilst canoeing, mountain biking and pony trekking are available locally.
