A lovely peaceful lodge in a gorgeous setting. The swimming pool was a bonus and the owners were very friendly.

The holiday home was nice and had everything we needed. We were disappointed with the availability of the pool though, the website said it was used for a few hours a week for swimming lessons. It was actually more like a few hours a day. We did get to swim daily but often found ourselves hanging around waiting for lessons to finish, sometimes this was 7.30pm. We ended up swimming early in the morning about 7am, before we went out as we knew when we got back it would be unavailable. Theses lessons also meant there were a lot of vehicles coming and going and parking right outside our open windows, so quite noisy. The sun room was nice but again quite noisy from the lessons in the pool. We did have a lovely holiday but it should be made clearer how much the pool is available before booking your holiday.

What a gem! We wanted a luxurious of mostly rest and relaxation with perhaps some days out if we fancied it. Willow lodge is the perfect place for this. The lodge itself has everything [and more] you may need. The pool and sauna are just the icing on the cake, we enjoyed both facilities everyday [sometimes twice!]. There are private swimming lessons in the pool at set times but these did not affect us whatsoever. The garden is gorgeous and there to use if you want. Penny and Keith are a lovely friendly couple who are happy to share their local knowledge with you, they are there if you need them and not if you don't. We are itching to go back and we have only been home a week.

We had an amazing time at the lodge. Would definitely recommend to anyone to go and relax in a brilliant location. The owners are the nicest people I have ever met, they were really helpful. The best thing about the lodge is the pool, we enjoyed that so much.
