A great little cottage, small (actually larger than the pictures make it look) but perfectly formed and has everything you need, very clean and tidy. Also perfectly located for seeing all the tourist attractions. The kids loved their 'den' bedroom upstairs. We had a great week here.

Very well considered little cottage. Downsides - as trailed - are the absence of garden and steep stairs to (low) attic room, but we knew all that. Upsides are plentiful: good value, excellent access to historical sites, coast and borders towns. The gentle countryside about - the Cheviots especially - - is very attractive. Our children loved the attic room, my wife enjoyed the well-appointed kitchen and I liked the options for making coffee and the profusion of TVs and radios. Ideal!

The cottage is beautifully presented, with a very high standard of provision. Everything has been taken in to account. The village is only small but has everything you could need: a pub, a small shop, a reading room. The only slight issues are that there is no garden but with the cheviot hills on the doorstep you have miles and miles of walks to suit every ability and where you can walk all day without seeing another soul. Most of the big tourist sights are on the coast, about 15 miles away with no dual carriageway or motorway but the roads are so quiet you can be there in 30 minutes easily. Very highly recommended
