Tigh Ban is a stylish detached holiday property set in a peaceful location in the historic village of Glencoe. Nestling under the Pap of Glencoe with views towards Loch Leven and the surrounding mountains it offers the perfect base for exploring Lochaber, Argyll and the Inner Isles. The area is renowned for its outdoor pursuits, breathtaking scenery, abundant wildlife and turbulent historic past. Nearby Glencoe Mountain Resort and Fort William the ’Outdoor Capital of the UK’ both offer excellent mountain biking, climbing, skiing, snowboarding and walking. Kayaking, sailing, golf and fishing are also popular pursuits. The Glencoe to Oban cycle path has lots of level cycling for families with young children and bikes can be hired locally. Catch the West Highland Steam Train (as depicted in the Harry Potter movie) to Mallaig, crossing the famous Glenfinnan viaduct, or visit some of the unspoilt white sandy beaches at Arisaig and Morar. Steeped in history, the area has many ruined castles, monuments and museums to visit, or Oban and Ben Nevis distilleries allow you to partake in a wee dram! Boat trips to Mull, Iona and Lismore are easily accessible, whilst Ardnamurchan Peninsula, the most westerly point in Britain, is well worth the scenic drive. Inverness, the Highland capital, Loch Ness and the beautiful Isle of Skye are also within easy reach. Supermarket online deliveries can be made to the area. Beach 20 miles. Shop 300 yards, pub and restaurant ½ mile.
