We have a wonderful time there. The owners were very nice and friendly. The only comment is related to the master bedroom bed mattress; my husband and I found it very uncomfortable. When you go away one of the most enjoyable parts of this to have an excellent sleep which sadly did not happen in our case.

This is a modern well laid out cottage. The French windows open out onto the large garden, which our dog loved. The owners are helpful and friendly and their dog got on well with ours. There are plenty of dog walks locally. The cottage is well placed for access to lovely places in the area such as Louth, (The Hubbard Hills), Retford, and Lincoln, (Castle and Cathedral). There are lots of National Trust properties in easy reach by car, (Clumber Park, Hardwick Hall, Stainsby Mill, Belton House, etc). For us a must see was Sherwood Forest, the 'home' of Robin Hood and his Merry Men! Altogether this was a lovely base to make a very enjoyable, happy holiday

A very lovely cottage and the welcome we got was very friendly and helpful, to extent that they had supplied, tea, bread etc. To settle ourselves in. We would recommend The Stables to anyone.
