Lovely clean cottage in a superb part of the country. The cottage had everything we needed for a fantastic stay including a welcome pack on our arrival. There are great walks on the doorstep and the cottage is in such peaceful surroundings. The owners made us feel very welcome and were very approachable. My family and I would thoroughly recommend this cottage.

We really enjoyed our stay at The Stables. The cottage is warm and comfortable and very quiet. All facilities are on the ground floor which is ideal for us as my wife has limited mobility and stairs are a problem. The Stables is nicely furnished, has a well appointed kitchen and decent wifi.

Lovely spacious, clean and warm cottage set in a quiet location. The owners were very welcoming and on hand if needed. Would recommend a visit to Glastonbury Tor,Wells Cathedral and Haynes motor museum.Wifi was a bit hit or miss if more than one device used the internet but this wouldn't stop us revisiting ,also mobile signal wasn't good ,although I did manage to receive text messages if I left my phone near the front door.

Although we all enjoyed our stay very much and would go back again. I had to help my disabled friend off the toilet as she was frightened to use the detachable grab rails. Also toilet low no raised seat. Used garden chair for shower and to sit at sink. Otherwise we had a brilliant stay.

We stayed 14th-21st september at this cottage and had an excellent time there , when we arrived we were given a very warm welcome , with an unexpected bonus of a carton of milk and a packet of biscuits , with tea and coffee provided . The cottage was very clean , spacious and comfortable , and ideal location for visiting the surrounding areas , very safe and secure area . Would definately recommend this cottage, and if we come back down to this area would not hesitate to book it.

Very good for me as a wheelchair user, though a plastic chair in the wet room would be welcome. There is a ramp to front door as well as the step mentioned in description. Good pub in village (Wookey Hole Inn) serving good food and real ales - 5 minute walk(Has disabled access but no disabled toilet.) Hill back up to property needs strong helper! No shop in village ,but Waitrose in Wells, 2 miles away also has long stay parking. Other supermarkets and attractions in Wells. The supply of coffee, tea, milk and biscuits was on arrival was welcome after tiresome journey on motorway. Glastonbury, Cheddar, and Somerset levels (for birdwatching, walking and cycling), only a short drive away. And of course the Wookey Hole caves are on your doorstep for the more able-bodied.

A perfect retreat, with wonderful hosts Scott and Hollie. A spacious, well equipped cottage, well positioned for exploring some of the best places in Somerset. We really appreciated that our dog, Bobble, was made to feel so welcome too.
