The surrounding area of the Yorkshire Wolds inspired the famous David Hockney paintings, and walkers and cyclists can enjoy the gentle undulating hills and stunning scenery. Local attractions include the South Cave Falconry with its collection of owls and birds of prey, and North Cave Wetlands, a Yorkshire Wildlife Trust Reserve. In the neighbouring village of North Cave, families with children can enjoy the facilities of the popular William’s Den. Visit the delightful market town of Beverley and the beautiful minster, historical buildings and cobbled streets, bordered by pavement cafés and fine dining restaurants.
Beverley hosts spectacular music festivals and numerous farmers’ markets, and horse racing at the Westwood racecourse.
