We were working in the area. As a base for the week this was very good: comfortable with nice interior space; not a sign of residual pet fluff; the key/gate system was useful for multiple people doing things at different times. Parking on street sometimes a bit crowded next to the Old Stables but manageable within a fairly short distance. Pleasant pub at the other end of the village.

Well equipped, heating systems a bit hit and miss. Rear patio doors needs maintenance. Times of bin collection would have been useful.

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your feedback. We're really glad you enjoyed your stay. In light of your comments, I've now amended the Welcome Pack, so that it includes guidance on the underfloor heating system and information about the bin collections. We've also ordered the new parts for the door. We hope to welcome you back to The Old Stables in the future.

At first it wasa little hard to find the cottage but called the owner who was abroad but still answered and give us a helping hand, I did read reviews about other peoples stay about getting dog food for they dogs i never did so good job i never relyed on getting dog food we did get a bottle of bubbles and some chocs what was a nice touch. The master bedroom is nice withits own bathroom just dont put the jets on pointless, the listing states "Bedroom 1: With kingsize bed, Freeview TV and en-suite with shower cubicle and toilet." the bedroom did not have a kingsize bed at all it was a double and the most uncomfotable bed i have ever slept in, not enough room for two adults and was a let down in a big way as got very little sleep while staying here for 6 nights i never marked it down as the rest of the cottage was nice and i would stay here again withno problems. things i would change is the garden it was messy and muddy, if your letting dogs stay at the cottage then artificial grass is needed here, would save you so much money as you would not need a gardener i have it at home and its the best thing i ever did. overall the place was lovly and only short drive to walking places where you could walk for miles. if your worriedabout going in winter dont be its like a oven in this cottage we had to turn all the heating off it was that hot but if you like it warm then perfect :-) its a long walk from the master bedroom to the kitchen so make sure you dont forget what you went for haha (Added the pic)

Lovely barn /stable conversion Except there was a probelm with the plumbing. Myself and 3 other guests got scolded every time we tried to take a shower. The owner came out and fixed tge shower in my ensuite, unfortnatly the shower in the bathroom gave my sil, a very nasty burn on her calf. We were offered a free meal at the owners resteraunt . Which was lovely food . But then we found a big bowel under the sink that we had to keep empting twice a day and it kept over flowing and flooding the place too. Id gone away with my twin brother and his wife and my husband , to celebrateour 58th birthday. The hob was too fsr away centred in the huge island. It very much hurt my back you had to reach over so much. Of course i told the owner a nice guy all this and he said he plans to fix all the probelms. If they were fixed id deffo go again. As the property is very spacious and a luxury property.
