Perhaps more of an experience than a home away from home would best describe this property at The Old Fire Station. Converted and updated to standards of high luxury, this is the ideal place to base yourself and unwind. The only problem we foresee is that you probably won’t want to leave.
The open plan kitchen/lounge is a great place to relax after a day exploring around the town or one of the most picturesque parts of the country. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you would need for a self catering stay, including dishwasher, cooker, fridge and freezer. The lounge area has a comfy corner sofa, 50" flat screen TV and a dining table, making it a central hub for the family. One of the bedrooms, the single one is also downstairs, in addition to a shower room. Upstairs the remaining two bedrooms can be found. One can be used as either a double or twin. The bathroom with shower over bath shower is also upstairs.
Parking is directly at the side of the property giving easy access to and from your vehicle, and there is a nice courtyard patio area to enjoy the fresh air on a pleasant day. The Border town of Kelso has more than you think, from bars and restaurants, to the ice rink and the famous Kelso Race Course; you will undoubtably find lots to keep you busy. Take a trip to the beach at Berwick or Eyemouth, both around a 40-minute drive or head north to Edinburgh or south to Newcastle.
