Thoroughly enjoyed our peaceful stay over the New Year at The Engine House. The cottage is situated in a beautiful part of the world, ideally situated for trips to Bridport and Lyme Regis, but with the bonus of being able to escape back to absolute tranquility at the end of the day. As a director for a major building contractor I was massively impressed with the attention to detail of finishes on the refurbishment, with absolutely no corners cut on finishes, very impressive. Facilities wise the cottage had everything we needed and more, so much so that my family now insist we go and buy an electric egg boiler/poacher. The owners were very friendly and helpful during our visitor and the cows amazingly quiet! Looking forward to a future visit.

A delightful conversion of an agricultural building, all modern conveniences but still retaining character. A good location to visit Dorset, Somerset and Devon! Very friendly and helpful owners. The cottage was beautifully warm and cosy for a November break. Would definitely recommend.

Very welcoming, clean, cosy, spacious and comfortable cottage. Use of a garden area opposite when weather fine and an enclosed and safe dog exercise area for dogs to run around in and toilet. About 20-30 minutes from Dorset coast at Bridport/West Bay/Charmouth and Lyme Regis and about 10 miles from Chard. Cottage set in lovely countryside. Well decorated throughout, lovely bathrooms and all mod cons included. Really enjoyed our relaxing stay.
