Beautiful cosy cottage, would be delighted to stay again. The owner and manager make visitors feel very welcome and the setting is very engaging and also secure which is a plus. The property being on a farm is an added bonus, giving a tranquil country feel despite being not far from Weston. The food at the local pub was amazing too. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Cider Barn and would have no hesitation in recommending to others. First rate!

We just loved the cider barn, We stayed here from for our wedding anniversary weekend from 9th to 13th May and it was just lovely, We were greeted by Sharon who was very helpful and also had made us a lovely cake, We met all the animals including the new baby calves. The barn was spotless and well presented and so cosy with everything you could ask for, our dog loved it, he even got blankets and doggy treats provided ,there is an amazing Jacuzzi bath for the humans. There is a great pub which served lovely food just 5 mins walk away, very friendly plus a good Chinese take away in the village, Weston super mare is just 15 mins drive away, also Cheddar Gorge is a must see, that is only 25 mins drive away, lots of walks on the doorstep, the barn does have a garden but not attached but that doesn't matter ,it is just 20 seconds away through the gate, all in all a great place, fully recommended

The cider barn is in the most beautiful location. On arrival i found that the car park is gated so no worries about security. Everyone was so friendly, chatty and helpful. I was met with a beautiful apple cider cake and milk for a much needed cup of tea. Sharon, manager, showed me round the site and introduced me to the beautiful horses, rheas and chickens. There are plenty of local amenities and the Chinese takeaway is very well placed! It was such a lovely base for a holiday, the local beach is just a quick drive away. Plenty of things to see and do and would recommend to anyone to go. I will definitely be returning. Overall, so well thought out, everything you could possibly need and some added luxuries you would just love at home, that being the massive Jacuzzi bath! Many thanks to the whole team who made my holiday so wonderfully relaxing and enjoyable

The description regarding the garden was misrepresented. It was an enclosed garden but not actually attached to the property. We had our dog with us and this was a total waste of time not having an attached garden. Our other complaint was the traffic in & out of the farm complex inc stables which early morning was a problem.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; We are so sorry that your stay with us in the Cider Barn didn’t live up to your expectations. The local amenities in the village are few but very good. The village pub is an award winning locals, non-chain pub whose food is all locally sourced. The Chinese Take Away is also very well recommended and all of our guests have used it in the past and have commented on how good it is! The village Post Office and shop is also very handy. Weston Super Mare is approximately 4 miles away with every supermarket that’s available in the UK. As for our beautiful cottage The Cider Barn: In the description it does say that the enclosed garden is 20 yards away from the property. The garden is a little orchard, so that you can pick the ripened fruit when it is ready. The location is on a farm that is recorded in the Doomsday Book as part of Hutton Courts Garden and farmland. We are, proudly, the oldest working farm in Somerset. We are part of the University of Bristol’s study on Bees and have 8 bee hives that they monitor. We are part of the Bat Conversation Trust and have 22 species of bat here. The cleanliness of the Cider Barn cannot be faulted either. The stables here are home to some beautiful horses and some are on Livery here. One is even part of the County Eventing Team. Others are potential eventers. We have beautiful wildlife here. Muntjac Deer, Foxes and Badgers all in all a beautiful place to be. The Owner made a point of talking to you and your husband every night to ask if you were happy and comfortable. He says you didn’t comment on any of these points to him at all.
