Edinburgh can be reached within 2 hours in the car, while the Highlands and Cairngorms National park are much closer to the north-west, with Royal Deeside and Balmoral within 90 minutes drive. Many world class gold courses are within range: Carnoustie is 40 minutes drive and St. Andrews 85 minutes drive away.
