I really would have liked to have rated this as 10/10 as it is a beautiful apartment in a stunning location. HOWEVER, I would suggest that anyone booking please check before arrival that the brochure has been updated with the correct entry codes!!!! I am so surprised to see this issue has been going back years (when looking at the comments book and online reviews). I dread to think what would have happened if we had arrived out of hours. We were stuck outside for 2 hours, in the heat with no water and a dog that was overheating. The housekeepers number was turned off and the office number had me on hold for ages before being cut off numerous times due to the poor signal. I eventually got through to the owner who couldn’t have been more helpful but once I had the correct code we still couldn’t get in as the key didn’t work. Luckily the maintenance person came out and gave us his. Other issues that seem to be ongoing are the humming pipes every time you use hot water and the jetty cottage doesn’t seem to get a once over clean at changeover as the windowsill was covered in flies and the previous occupiers rubbish was still in there. It’s such a shame these simple issues are occurring numerous times as it really would have been a perfect stay otherwise 

While the apartment is in a lovely location, getting into the apartment was very complicated with key boxes and an unnecessary number of keys that were not clearly marked. The key boxes were difficult to open. We were glad we didn't arrive in the dark or rain. Once in the apartment, it was well laid out and looked attractive. The sofas and beds were extremely uncomfortable and so not at all restful. There were no instructions on how to use the heating, oven, washing machine, etc, but clear instructions for the fridge. We were looking forward to using the shed overlooking the water, but found it full of dead flies so without lugging a hoover down was not really suitable for use. We were very disappointed with the accommodation . This apartment is certainly not suitable for someone who is disabled, getting into the apartment would be difficult and the shower is up a high step which would make it difficult for someone with limited mobility to use.

Glorious location spoiled by some very simple problems. We spent the first 20 minutes, after a 6 hour drive, trying to get into the property having problems on both the outside and inside doors. This is not a new problem as can be seen in previous reviews, although we foolishly assumed it would have been fixed! The living room/kitchen windows were dirty spoiling the 'stunning' views over Budle Bay and Holy Island, which is a key feature of the property. The windows are on the ground floor so we ended cleaned them ourselves.
