Close to Cambridge is the Imperial War Museum, while Duxford is well worth a day out, too. Ely, with its imposing cathedral, named ’The Ship of the Fens’, is a small, bustling city that also boasts a stained glass museum and Oliver Cromwell’s House. The Hanseatic port of old Kings Lynn is a popular destination, as is the medieval city of Norwich with its fine Norman castle. Those wishing for quieter pursuits will enjoy the Welney Wetland Centre; within an hour beach lovers can be on the Norfolk coast, and history lovers can be at the Sandringham Estate. After a busy day, you can either retire to the peaceful garden or stoke up the fire, and relax and unwind while planning your next adventure. Beach 30 miles. Shop 2 miles, pub and restaurant 4 miles.
The Coach House can be booked together with Lode Hall (ref W44296) to accommodate up to 20 guests.

A lovely house with everything you need for a large family get together. We enjoyed a lovely weekend. Only criticism is the mattresses are hard and wifi is not strong enough to cope with a lot of devices and using multi media

A really warm house with good spacious bedrooms and bathrooms, although we expected to find soap in the bathrooms. Hot tub is an excellent addition. Kitchen was not as well equipped as we normally expect - no teapot, no serving spoons not ideal for so many people.

A generally well specced and comfortable property for a large party but lacking some small touches that could have made it perfect: no milk and sugar for a drink on arrival (though there was tea and coffee) One frying pan not enough for 12 (though there were 2 kettles, toasters and microwaves) The lighter for the wood burner was empty (though ample coal/wood was provided) No mirrors in any of the bedrooms Shower gel dispensers in all showers were empty. No local interest books or games Whilst there was plenty of space and the bedrooms were large the en-suites were cramped, especially the showers. The seal round the oven was found to be damaged on arrival and one of the toilets leaked (both reported to caretaker Lee who was very helpful). Two of the showers also only seemed to deliver scolding water. Overall a good property let down by relatively minor issues which would be simple to improve upon.
