A delightful stone built barn conversion with splendid views over the village of Gwyddelwern and the surrounding countryside.

What a view! This delightful stone built barn conversion is situated next to the owners’ home and has splendid views out over the village of Gwyddelwern and the surrounding countryside from the living room and patio outside. There are walks from the door too. Close by is the quirky Rug Chapel (CADW) whilst Rhug Farm Shop provides a tempting selection of Welsh food in its farm shop and bistro. A short distance away is Corwen, from where you can catch a Llangollen Railway steam train to Llangollen, home of the annual International Musical Eisteddfod, take a walk along the canal, or visit Plas Newydd, home of the Ladies of Llangollen. In the other direction is the pretty county town of Ruthin, famous for its mediaeval architecture, in particular Nant Clwyd y Dre house and Ruthin Gaol, whilst Betws-y-Coed, the Gateway to Snowdonia, and the vibrant city of Chester are both within easy reach. Absolutely beautiful barn conversion. Stunning views of the hills and mountains from the garden and the fabulous hot tub. We had fantastic weather to explore the area which was a bonus. Total peace and quiet with just the sound of the lambs, pheasants and the occasional owl! I even saw my first shooting star. All in all a beautiful property, spotlessly clean and a real home from home. We loved it.

Fabulous accommodation with absolutely amazing views from the hot tub. Very rarely can you find such a high standard of accommodation that is also dig friendly.Lovely welcoming hosts, too. We even got snowed in on one of our days but couldn't think of a better place to be stuck. We will definitely be returning.

The barn is a lovely cottage to get away and relax. We were lucky enough to get snow whilst we were there which made the views even more beautiful. It did mean we had to leave the car in the village but as it was just the 2 of us we didn't mind the walk. Sam was very thoughtful as she offered to get some food for us when the weather got bad. Overall a well equipt cottage in a lovely area.

Bit of a drive to get essentials so advise seeking out the supermarket first and stocking up because once you're in you won't want to leave again! The views are breathtaking, it's also really quiet. Beds are comfy, hosts are fantastic and for a dog friendly place there wasn't a hair or doggy smell at all. All the little details are there, spotlessly clean... Loved our stay here! Definitely be returning - Thank you :)

We loved our stay at the barn, it is such a beautifully decorated and comfortably furnished place- we didn't want to leave! The view is amazing from the terrace and sitting in the hot tub looking out at it was just perfection. The driveway to the barn is very bumpy and rocky but we made it in and out in one piece, local amenities aren't the best but we took everything we needed with us and just enjoyed the peace and quiet and being away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life- we would go back without a doubt, 4 days of complete relaxation! THANK YOU!!!

Response on behalf of the owner: Thank you for your Reevoo, We are glad you had a relaxing time here at The Barn. We find our nearest town Corwen convenient for essentials. Corwen is a couple of miles away. It has all essential shops from a Bakery, Butchers, Fruit and veg shop, Newsagents, Post Office and Pharmacy. There are several takeaways and there is a small convenience store too. We hope you enjoyed the fresh bread from Corwens Bakery. Access to The Barn is up a unmade track, giving a sense of really escaping the hustle and bustle of life. The track can be bumpy in areas but all accessible by a regular car. Hope to see you again.
