Description

A delightful stone built barn conversion with splendid views over the village of Gwyddelwern and the surrounding countryside.

What a view! This delightful stone built barn conversion is situated next to the owners’ home and has splendid views out over the village of Gwyddelwern and the surrounding countryside from the living room and patio outside. There are walks from the door too. Close by is the quirky Rug Chapel (CADW) whilst Rhug Farm Shop provides a tempting selection of Welsh food in its farm shop and bistro. A short distance away is Corwen, from where you can catch a Llangollen Railway steam train to Llangollen, home of the annual International Musical Eisteddfod, take a walk along the canal, or visit Plas Newydd, home of the Ladies of Llangollen. In the other direction is the pretty county town of Ruthin, famous for its mediaeval architecture, in particular Nant Clwyd y Dre house and Ruthin Gaol, whilst Betws-y-Coed, the Gateway to Snowdonia, and the vibrant city of Chester are both within easy reach. Absolutely beautiful barn conversion. Stunning views of the hills and mountains from the garden and the fabulous hot tub. We had fantastic weather to explore the area which was a bonus. Total peace and quiet with just the sound of the lambs, pheasants and the occasional owl! I even saw my first shooting star. All in all a beautiful property, spotlessly clean and a real home from home. We loved it.

Fabulous accommodation with absolutely amazing views from the hot tub. Very rarely can you find such a high standard of accommodation that is also dig friendly.Lovely welcoming hosts, too. We even got snowed in on one of our days but couldn't think of a better place to be stuck. We will definitely be returning.

The barn is a lovely cottage to get away and relax. We were lucky enough to get snow whilst we were there which made the views even more beautiful. It did mean we had to leave the car in the village but as it was just the 2 of us we didn't mind the walk. Sam was very thoughtful as she offered to get some food for us when the weather got bad. Overall a well equipt cottage in a lovely area.
