Quietly situated in a residential setting in the historic market town of Knaresborough, this comfortable holiday property is conveniently located close to the shops, amenities and attractions of this delightful area. The accommodation is an annexe in the grounds of the owner’s home, and a warm but unobtrusive welcome awaits. There is a delightful outdoor space for sitting-out on warm summer evenings, plenty of parking and the bus stop and train station are both close by. Knaresborough is full of surprises with a warren of medieval streets and stone stairs that weave their way up and down the hill. The town centre is perched on the cliffs above the River Nidd, and at the base of the cliff the riverside promenade is a great place to enjoy an ice cream or step aboard a rowing boat. Visit Mother Shipton’s Cave and Petrifying Well, where numerous artefacts have been turned to stone over the years, and enjoy the spectacular views from the castle, across the river and gorge. The Nidd Gorge is a beautiful wooded landscape just upstream of the town, ideal for walking, picnics and wildlife watching. The Beryl Burton Cycle Way is a Sustrans route, allowing cyclists to ride to Harrogate and Ripley by traffic free routes.
The Annexe provides a perfect base from which to explore the elegant spa town of Harrogate, 4 miles away, with its Royal Pump Museum and restored Turkish baths and famous Betty’s tea rooms. The walled city of York is just half an hour by train or car, and is packed with attractions, including the iconic minster and Jorvik Centre, theatres, art galleries and festivals. The Yorkshire Dales National Park, North York Moors National Park and the coastal resorts of Scarborough and Whitby are all easily accessible. Shop 200 yards, pub and restaurant ¼ mile.

Easy to make contact with owner about arrival and entry. Spotlessly clean accommodation and very well equipped, owners had left some basics of bread, butter, milk, preserves, sweets etc which was very kind. Warm and homely. Internet was very intermittent and loud squeak on bathroom floor. However this did not spoil our lovely stay in Knaresborough. Locals are so friendly and accommodation so convenient for exploring by train. A great holiday!

Very nice and comfortable accommodation, everything clean and tidy with fully equipped kitchen. Think of it as a little home from home. Hosts are very nice and helpful. If you are thinking about this accommodation dont hesitate as it will probably be booked up the next time you look.

An extremely comfortable little house, containing everything we needed. We were grateful for the warmth of the central heating, and the kindness of the owners.

This property is an example to other owners of how a holiday let should be presented. The 'little extras' included were incredible, including shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, butter, jam, marmalade, bread, sweets etc. Well equipped and furnished. Only downsides at all were a very creaky bathroom floor, and a squeaky bed.

A very comfortable holiday home with everything you could ever need when self-catering. Very generous welcome pack with milk, water, biscuits, butter, jam, marmalade, tea, coffee, hot chocolate and a selection of sauces left for your use. Very clean, a short walk into town and very friendly hosts.
