Description

An ideal getaway for two set in a rural location in a quiet hamlet, yet close to many attractions.

An ideal base to explore the surrounding area

These well-appointed properties are situated in a quiet hamlet, midway between Bridgnorth and Ludlow, two of Shropshire’s most well-known and loved historic towns. They are well positioned to take advantage of the views across the open countryside. The Annexe (ref 29626), is semi-detached and stands 20 yards from The Barn (ref W44249), which is a detached barn conversion and has a private hot tub. The interior of The Barn has been thoughtfully designed with beautiful stone floors and a cosy woodburner. Set in a convenient location, they are within walking distance of the locally run pub, and a short drive away from the visitor attractions of Ludlow with its castle and racecourse, Bridgnorth, Ironbridge and Much Wenlock. Also worth visiting are the River Severn, famous for its tidal bore, the River Teme and the Severn Valley Railway. Other local attractions include Rays Farm, the inland funicular railway and Daniels Mill. This is an ideal touring base for people wishing to explore Shropshire and Herefordshire, as well as the mid Wales borderlands. Shop 2 miles, pub and restaurant 300 yards.

Great little cottage, very clean and comfortable. Owners very nice, leave you to get on with things, but are on hand if you need them. Lovely touch by the owners leaving, milk, bacon, and biscuits for you on arrival. Great location, and the people in the surrounding properties are very friendly. There are some really wonderful places to visit very near to the property, but the Severn Valley Railway is a must for anybody staying at the cottage. The garden is safe and secure for dogs and lovely to sit out with a nice drink in the evening, with the wonderful views of the Shropshire hills around you.
