As a family of 3 small boys under 5 , the house was too small and we found it to not be very child friendly!

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; I’m not sure why we were given such a low score. Regarding the comment on not being child friendly. There is a Cot, highchair, enclosed garden, library of children books, DVD, toys and games provided. We welcome comments to improve our service but in this case as no specifics have been given it's difficult to comment.

A lovely cottage with a home from home feel. Well equipped with everything we needed. The situation was perfect- 2 mins from the village (via a path right by the cottage ) with an excellent fish and chip shop, co op, newsagents, Cafe’s, pubs. In fact the Singing Kettle coffee shop allows dogs inside which was perfect when I arrived before the arrival time and the weather was a bit damp! The cottage is walking distance of the steam train (also dog friendly) and a lovely walk from there along the river Dart. All in all I was amazed how dog friendly the cottage and surrounding area was and will definitely be coming back.

This is a gorgeous little house, tucked away in a courtyard development, very close to all the amenities of Buckfastleigh although you wouldn't know it from how peaceful it is! It was clean and welcoming, with coffee, tea, milk and biscuits on arrival, and a cupboard full of dog toys and snacks for our four-legged friend. The decor is cosy, cheerful and tidy. There is a tiny garden, laid to grass and red and white roses were blooming around the patio doors when we were there - very fairytale-like! We were a group of four adult-sized people, although two of them were teenagers and we rarely felt it was too small - our only gripe was that there was a sofa and an armchair, so if you came in last you were stuck with a dining chair or squashing in on the sofa! Lots to do in the area and a comfortable, clean house to come home to after a day of exploring! Lovely.

lovely clean cottage in excellent quiet position with shops / pubs / restaurants close by. Well equipped kitchen and comfy bed and treats of wine, choccy biscuits, mince pies and dog treats on arrival was very thoughtful. Although we had an enjoyable holiday we would not stay here again as we found the settee uncomfortable and television too small plus the small garden was a mud bath and almost unusable for our labrador.
