The holiday was just what we needed. Our hosts were excellent nothing too much trouble and the food , well 11 out of 10 and all home cooked. The bungalow had the most magnificamt views from the patio door. Margaret and I came home fully refreshed and ready to go again as did Rosie our newly aquired rescue dog.

Quite a long way up a narrow road but in a lovely area. Decent sized fishing lake and good parking. Small lounge but everything you could need and very cosy. Watching the bird life out of the lounge window was a dream with a resident pheasant and cuckoos. Owners very helpful but not intrusive and welcome complimentary cream tea was delicious. Bed very comfortable and kitchen small but well equipped. Large bathroom with good sized shower. Very convenient for visiting north,South and central Dartmoor with main road 5 mins away. Local pub serves good beer and food but not really within easy walking distance. Would definitely recommend if you like peace and quiet.

Anne's cooking is fabulous! Anne is obviously particular about the interior of the cottage down to details. Because we became snowed in both John & Anne could not have been more helpful. Some repeat medical tablets were required these were supplied by the local doctor & John walked through the snow to obtain these; on leaving he insisted on clearing the snow and then driving with us to main road to ensure we were safe. That is above and beyond!
