Introducing Oak Tree Cottage, this charming cottage offers accommodation for four guests sitting within the stunning estate of Stoke Rochford Hall and surrounded by beautiful countryside you would not want to be anywhere else.
Downstairs is a fabulous open-plan space with a well-equipped kitchen, a large dining area and a separate cosy living room with comfy sofas to relax on in front of the feature wood burning stove. Upstairs, the two bedrooms enjoy double beds and a relaxing bathroom with the all important slipper foot bath alongside a walk-in shower. Outside is a private enclosed garden with garden furniture for you to enjoy. Beyond the garden of the Oak Tree Cottage, you are with the grounds of Stoke Rochford Hall Estate, which you are welcome to explore.
Location is key, easily accessible just off the A1, central location and excellent transport links to Peterborough, Leicester, and Nottingham, meaning that Stoke Rochford really does have it all. A short drive away you will discover the place Sir Walter Scott described as ‘the finest stone town’ in England: Stamford with its cobbled courtyards and alleys give way to unique boutiques and sweet cafés, making it perfect for a weekend escape. Stamford’s position on the Great North Road meant it was a major trading post with wool a speciality, and many majestic old stone buildings remain. It is a big town, fully able to cater for every need with galleries, pubs, museums and more, and its old charm made it a prime TV spot: Pride and Prejudice and Middlemarch were filmed here.
The major hubs of Northampton and Cambridge are nearby, as is the market town of Melton Mowbray, a portal for gourmet travellers: several food festivals happen here, from chocolate to cheese. Rutland Water Park provides fun for all the family with walking and cycling routes, fishing and watersports.
