The village itself offers a well-stocked store and two welcoming pubs—one run by the chalet’s hosts and only a few yards from your door. A short drive takes you to Mappleton, while nearby Hornsea and Withernsea offer all the traditional seaside attractions, including amusement arcades, convenience stores, bars, restaurants, and miles of sandy beaches. The nearest beach access is about a mile walk from the property where there is a slope or a 10-minute drive to Mappleton or 15 minutes to Hornsea. Where you can climb down the cliffs.
Nature enthusiasts can spend a day at Spurn Point Nature Reserve or go birdwatching at Hornsea Mere, while families may enjoy a trip to The Deep in Hull, one of the UK’s most impressive aquariums.
