Although we enjoyed our stay there were certain things which determined our reason not to return . 1. The furniture too low (we are both in our 70s). 2. We would have preferred a walk in shower not over a bath. 3. We thought it expensive for 2 people it is equipped for 4 people but they have to share a small bathroom.

The cottage is a brilliant position just two minutes walk from the main quay. Inside the cottage it is light and well designed. The living space, bathroom and one bedroom are on the first floor with the second bedroom and study space on the second floor. We travelled with my elderly grandparents and they struggled with the stairs and the little steps throughout the cottage. The bathroom is very small. Everywhere was clean and the kitchen was well stocked. There are no blackout blinds on the bedroom windows and so it was like daylight at 4am. The helix Windows that make the main living space so light also heat it up - I would not want to stay during a heat wave! The internal doors are fire doors and so are heavy and slam shut as they are not fitted with closers. The parking was accessible by a padlocked chain and this was a bit of a pallava. The parking space is also small. My general experience was good and I am highlighting small points above that cumulatively may dissuade potential guests. We were the second to last guests before the Barn was to be under new possession and management.
