White House Cottages are perfectly positioned on the outskirts of Ledbury in picturesque Herefordshire. Ledbury is a pretty, well-kept town in the east of the county, with fantastic examples of timber-framed buildings, including the market hall dating back to the 17th century. This charming ‘upside-down’ cottage was a former kiln that was used to dry hop, there is a master double room on the ground floor and a bathroom fitted with a relaxing bath that has a shower over. You will find the open plan living space upstairs with high ceilings and a well-equipped kitchen area that has everything needed to enjoy a homecooked meal. Outside there is a patio where you can lounge in the sun with your favourite beverage overlooking the beautiful communal walled garden.
Explore the town’s cobbled streets, which in summer are adorned with the most beautiful hanging baskets, and which have won “Britain in Bloom” competitions, Local attractions include Eastnor Castle, a deer park, exhilarating Land Rover experiences, off-roading, golf, balloon flights, family pottery sessions at Eastnor Pottery, Hellens Manor, Newent Heritage Centre and The International Centre for Birds of Prey.
Visit Westons, where you can experience a shire horse dray ride, sample Westons Cider on the mill tour or simply wander through the courtyard garden. Newbridge Farm Park is where children can get hands-on with the animals or explore the Hop Pocket Shopping Village. National Trust properties surround the area and are always a must-see, as well as visiting the cities of Gloucester and Cheltenham, the latter is great for a day at the races.
Also close by and great for walkers are the Malvern Hills and the Forest of Dean – lots to do in the Forest of Dean for families such as Go Ape, canoeing, fishing, and lots of bike trails for cycling enthusiasts. This is the perfect place to stay for those wanting to simply relax and take in this beautiful countryside. Pub and restaurant 1½ miles.
These properties can be booked together to accommodate up to 15 guests.
