Killimster Farm Cottage is the perfect base for exploring Caithness; it is located on a working farm just outside Wick. This detached cottage has parking for two vehicles and has spectacular views across the countryside to the hills beyond. Walking through the front door ,there is a hallway with the kitchen/dining room to the left; there are plenty cupboards, a table and chairs and everything you could need to cook up the perfect meal. The master bedroom is on this floor with a double bed, bedside tables, lights, storage and an en-suite with cubicle shower, wash basin, and toilet. The family bathroom completes the ground floor also with a bath, wash basin, and toilet.
On the first floor is the living room with comfy sofa and chairs and TV, this room has the unspoilt views of the countryside. Bedroom 2 is on this floor with twin beds, a bedside table, light and storage. There is a rear hallway for storing bicycles, paddle boards etc. Outside is a small area for sitting out with table and chairs, perfect for al fresco dining.
The cottage is close to Reiss beach, golf course, fishing, and a distillery, and the area is great for walking and cycling with the most dramatic scenery and a varied selection of wildlife. The area has many historic sites. Wick is only 4 miles away and offers supermarkets, a selection of local shops, café, restaurants, and bars. You can take a day trip to Orkney from Gills Bay and explore John o’ Groats, the most northern point of the UK mainland. The Castle of Mey and gardens, owned by King Charles, is open to the public and has views across to Orkney.
