We stayed at Islington for 10 days and thoroughly enjoyed every moment. On entering the main door space is a bit limited but once inside there are the spacious lounge and dining rooms. The kitchen has more than ample pans, crockery and cutlery, and there were 2 fridges (very useful) The layout of the 6 bedrooms ensured that everybody had a comfortable stay, and although our stay was during winter time the accommodation was warm and cosy. The location of Islington Hall is very easy to find, and is of easy driving distance to some lovely areas of the coast, that even in January were a joy to visit. The garden is attractive and spacious. We enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub most evenings, this was warm and well maintained, great for looking up at the stars! Nick and Diana were very welcoming and helpful - thank you. The only down side of the stay was that we had to come home.

We hired the hall for a family get-together, and it really worked. We were 6 adults and 5 children aged from 2 to 11, and we had a lot of fun in the house, the extensive grounds and the hot-tub. When there was a query about the TV the owner was very helpful even though the problems were of our own making! The bedrooms and bathrooms are superb.

An amazing place. Everything you needed including books and games for the children. The out side gardens were ideal for our two dogs. The hot tub was a bonus. The owners, who live next door where both friendly and helpful. The only consideration is that if you need anything you have to drive as there are no shops or pubs within walking distance. This was ideal for our family get together as it catered for both grand parents and grand children alike. Would highly recommend Islington Hall.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your lovely review - we always think happy dogs make for happy Owners. Being secluded in the countryside does mean the shops are a few minutes’ drive away, but we hope the lovely large gardens make up for that - and the local supermarkets will deliver here.

Islington Hall exceeded our expectations with ample space for our family group of eleven. It is really well decorated and equipped and the gardens are large with an outside table seating us all. We were celebrating my wife's birthday and we had a wonderful weekend helped by good weather. The hot tub in the garden was very popular with our four grandchildren and with two adults. There was ample parking, loads of books and activities and the television went on once for the news on Sunday!

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you very much for your review; you certainly brought lovely weather when you came to stay and its great everybody had such a good time. Hope to see you again soon.

Perfect setting. Only issues we had was the weather really, and the fact that there was no downstairs toilet or that the jacuzzi was under the trees. The fact both the trees and the building are protected means that these can’t be changed. However this did not spoil our visit in anyway

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your review; sadly the weather was not as glorious as it might have been. And yes, you were here in the week the nearby 400 year-old yew tree was in full pollen. I am glad you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you again.
