White House Cottages are perfectly positioned on the outskirts of Ledbury in picturesque Herefordshire. Ledbury is a pretty, well-kept town in the east of the county, with fantastic examples of timber-framed buildings, including the market hall dating back to the 17th century. As you step into this distinguishing cottage you are greeted with an open plan design with characterful beams throughout, the living area has a cosy gas wood burner that is perfect for cuddling up to after a long day of exploring the local area. Upstairs, there’s sleeping for four guests in a master double room and a twin bedroom. Completing the cottage is a bathroom fitted with a relaxing bath that has a shower over. Outside there is a patio where you can lounge in the sun with your favourite beverage overlooking the beautiful communal walled garden.
Explore the town’s cobbled streets, which in summer are adorned with the most beautiful hanging baskets, and which have won “Britain in Bloom” competitions, Local attractions include Eastnor Castle, a deer park, exhilarating Land Rover experiences, off-roading, golf, balloon flights, family pottery sessions at Eastnor Pottery, Hellens Manor, Newent Heritage Centre and The International Centre for Birds of Prey.
Visit Westons, where you can experience a shire horse dray ride, sample Westons Cider on the mill tour or simply wander through the courtyard garden. Newbridge Farm Park is where children can get hands-on with the animals or explore the Hop Pocket Shopping Village. National Trust properties surround the area and are always a must-see, as well as visiting the cities of Gloucester and Cheltenham, the latter is great for a day at the races.
