This unique city of art and history is also worth a visit. Navarrenx (27 km) is one of the oldest towns in Béarn and is characterized by an old fortification. A lot of paths in the surroundings allow you to experience the beautiful nature on foot or on horseback. Look forward to a gastronomic voyage of discovery: Taste the garbure (stew with cabbage, vegetables and preserved meat) or the Bayonne ham with salt from Salies-de-Béarn. 33 km away you can visit the factory that produces the canvas shoes with braided soles (Espadrilles de Mauléon), very popular among Basques.
