Lovely place for a relaxation break. You are totally isolated as the accommodation is 1 mile up the farm track from the farm house. Very clean and comfy, although we did have an issue with flies which the owners tried to resolve for us. The welcome package is more than we expected, there was bread, milk, plenty of tea coffee and sugar so no need to buy them, 4 small boxes of cereal, there was a dishwasher with tablets supplied, washing machine with laundry products supplied, Washing up liquid and clothes, well equipped kitchen, vey comfy beds and pillows so good nights sleep were had. There was also outdoor toys for older children.

A very nice cottage/barn conversion. It is ideally located for peace and quiet with excellent views over the surrounding countryside. The wild life viewed from the cottage was lovely, red kites, pheasant's, partridge, squirrels and rabbits. The cottage is placed conveniently between York and Harrogate with some lovely national trust properties in the locality. The cottage was warm and cosy and had all the facilities to make a excellent holiday. A lovely modern cottage which I would have no hesitation stopping at again in the future if visiting this area.

You know when you book cottages and you look at the pictures and hope that the place you finally choose is half as good as it looks on line , we’ll i can tell you that haddicks nook is better in reality it’s just gorgeous and very clean , it has a modern layout with a gloss red kitchen that is stuffed to the gills with every implement you could possibly need including a washer dryer ! Although if you put some washing on the line it’ll be dry before you hang the last item . The bathrooms are lovely fully tiled with beams in the family bathroom ( which is very spacious) . Both bedrooms are a good size with plenty of room both have solid wood wardrobes and dressing tables which are in great condition . The carpets are soft and clean in the bedrooms and the beds are comfortable with spotlessly clean linens. Outside all you can see is fields ,trees , hedges ,lots and lots of ducks and pheasants . I can honestly say it’s the best cottage we’ve ever stayed in, just gorgeous and we didn’t want to leave todayMore

Wonderful place to stay! Hosts happy to go the extra mile. Fully modern and equip kitchen ( I could have cooked a full roast dinner here with baking trays etc ) Open plan with everything on one level First impressions of this cottage were amazing and nothing changed our minds over the stay 😁 We would wholeheartedly recommend Haddocks Nook to any family who want a base to see the area or want a secluded place to relax Within about 30 mins of the cottage are so many places- Boroughbridge for Morrison’s nearest supermarket and lovely village, Ripon for cafes and market, Knaresborough for Drakes fish and chips, Stockeld Park adventure for kids( and grown ups) York of course a must for everything! Also only half an hour away.

This was our second visit to Haddocks Nook, and was good as the first, would definitely stay again. Everything in the property as you would need and much more. Views are amazing as well as wildlife, plenty to do in the area, and supermarkets not to far. Absolutely perfect can not fault.

Haddoks Nook is a lovely modern comfortable cottage. It is located in a quiet country location at the end of a farm lane. There are hares, rabbits, kites, heard the owls but didn’t see any deers this time. Everything you need including the kitchen scales including a welcome pack of basic essentials too. Hopefully we will be returning again in the future

Fantastic location. Great many North Yorkshire attractions are located within 1 hour of driving time radius. We've stayed for 2 weeks, since a list of our days out was very long. Great rural retreat. Secluded, with 100% privacy. Bunnies, squirrels, and pheasants in immediate surrounding. Odour of barley fields - we'll treasure forever, as "smell of Yorkshire". Extremely friendly hosts. During the planning stages of our trip, I've contacted Claire ( the landlady ) great many times with questions. Always received most useful/helpful advice. We're planning to return in a couple of years. I'll be recommending Haddock's Nook to all our friends, who'd like to explore North Yorkshire. We'd like to express our gratitude to everybody at the Rising Sun Farm, who had contributed to the success of our stay.

Haddocks Nook screams quality at every turn - from the cottage itself to the high-end fittings and furnishings. Everything you need is provided in the cottage including a Welcome pack of bread, milk and fresh eggs from the owner's farm. The location is ideal for a peaceful, relaxing holiday with sightings of deer, foxes and many species of birds from the patio area. You receive a warm welcome from the owners who are close at hand should you need them. This is by far the best cottage we have stayed in over the many years of holiday lets and our only regret was that we had to go home.

Really well equipped and appointed cottage. Secluded but bus route into York is easy. Really enjoyed our stay here, would also be lovely in summer though we saw lots of wildlife when we were here in April.
