The house is very pleasant to stay in, but we found things like locked patio doors and velux windows we couldn't open a bit annoying. It could do with a washing line - relying on the tumble dryer was a bit odd for an eco-house. The garden was great for eating and playing outside, there was enough crockery, cutlery and cooking stuff for 6 to be comfortable and not forever washing up, and generally the house would be entirely comfortable for an extended stay of weeks/months. The pub in the village was great, we ate there twice and we had superb food, beer, and company. They had a wide menu including veggie, vegan, GF and simple stuff for kids. The location is wonderful, peaceful and natural - the only downside of this very rural place is that the nearest supermarkets are in Brecon or Llandridnodd Wells. Plan ahead, and get a delivery.. There's a Co-op in Hay, but it's astonishingly expensive and very limited. There's a Chinese takeaway in Talgarth, but it's not great. We genuinely, despite my moans, had a really good time at this house - we went horse riding, canoeing, castle-trotting and hillwalking - and the house was spacious, well equipped, cool and comfortable to come back to every evening.

Spacious, well equipped and immaculately kept. Comfortable beds, lovely terrace in the garden for sitting out. Quiet location in a small hamlet, away from the main roads but within a short distance of Hay-on-Wye. We really enjoyed our stay here and would happily come again.
