It is a great base for relaxing, for both couples and families and ideal for water enthusiasts and adventure seekers who enjoy cycling, walking, sailing or fishing. Nearby Leaplish Waterside Park has a hop on/hop off ferry, which takes you all around the water to admire the stunning scenery with a visitor centre, bird of prey centre and bar with outdoor picnic area and also a swimming pool and spa, ideal for a few hours of relaxation. The historic town of Hexham is only 25 miles away and Bellingham has a bank, post office and shops, and is only 9 miles away. Shop 75 yards, pub and restaurant 100 yards.
