This spacious annex, is in the garden of the owner’s home, and set in a quiet, residential area, is ideal for a couple to enjoy a lovely, tranquil holiday close to the sandy beaches of the coast and the centre of the traditional seaside resort of Mablethorpe. It is perfect as a touring base for exploring this stretch of the east coast. Within a 30 minutes’ drive are the seal breeding grounds at Donna Nook, the seaside town of Sutton on Sea, Sandilands where you can see the many brightly coloured beach huts on the promenade, Huttoft, Anderby Creek and Chapel St Leonards that all have lovely beachside cafés for refreshment as you explore this superb stretch of coast. Fantasy Island, Butlins and Skegness provide plenty of opportunity for days out and entertainment or you can head inland to the market towns of Alford and Louth both within a 30 minutes’ drive.
There are lovely walks and cycle routes throughout the area, many straight from your holiday home and after a day exploring you can return to relax and sit in the conservatory overlooking the garden and see the wild doves that breed in The Dovecote from which the cottage takes its name.
