Absolutely brilliant house. I stay away regularly in holiday cottages and was honestly blown away by the owners care of the property and consideration for those staying in it. The house was clean and tidy, as was all of the equipment in it. It was well stocked- we stayed with a baby, 2 kids (6&9) and elderly grandparents and everyone was catered for. The local area was great. The house is right on the water, boat hire companies locally are very reasonable, plenty of bars, restaurants, shops and nice pubs. I would highly recommend.

Great house in a great location. Would recommend for a good base for enjoying all the Broads has to offer. Only minor issue was the bed in the main bedroom could have been more comfortable and the pillows were quite hard but really nothing that should stop anyone thinking of booking this great house.

For a long weekend celebrating an 18th birthday, David's Island was an excellent spot. Plenty of space with the garden and decking and great location by the water with the pub opposite.

Evicted from the garden on Saturday as the gardener had to cut the grass etc. Surely this should be Done during the period of unnoccupancy on change over day. Property three doors away had decking being laid all week so very loud with power tools and radio blasting. The bar across the river has very loud love music two to three times per week. ople who had the property after us advised that the cleaners had not even been in between occupancies.

The cottage was lovely and in a great location. So close to the shops and boat hire which we did one day and moored up outside it was fantastic. We were a bit on edge with our children as our youngest was 16 months and we had to have doors closed at all times as he would easily have been able to climb on a chair and go over into the water so a warning to families with young children that's it's open all over to water. Great wildlife around the cottage and we even got to watch a heron dive for a fish and it caught one. Some items that would have eased our stay; A sink bowl as the plug didn't fit so we struggled washing up although there was a dishwasher. A new mattress in the king size room as that one you could feel the springs. Could do with a bit of decorating as there were marks all over the walls especially the hall where bags/suitcases would be going up and down. The zebra picture was lovely and a great talking point including my Son drawing them.

My Mother booked this cottage as it had said there was a bedroom and bathroom on the ground floor for my Stepfather and herself as they are elderly and not very mobile due to ill health. However on arrival it was clear no downstairs bedroom or toilet facilities were apparent. This put undue stress on my parents as my Stepfather suffers with Dementia also and the holiday was meant for a relaxing time especially for my Mother as she is his main carer. My Mother was very upset as it is extremely difficult to pacify my Stepfather. Unfortunately my Mother had to vacate a few days earlier due to this problem. A great shame as a very clean cottage in a good location.

I cannot fault the location of this property, it is just a short walk from the centre of wroxham and has wonderful views. We enjoyed sitting out on the veranda and our little boy loved feeding the ducks and swans. What does let this property down is the cleanliness and overall appearance. My little boy dropped a toy under the sofa and we were disgusted by what we saw, safe to say its several months since it was cleaned under there. The 3rd floor shower leaks down into the 2nd floor and you can see the damp. Every room needs decorating. Its such a shame as with a spruce up and a good clean this would be a wonderful property which we would most definately visit again.

A lovely stay at David's Island despite the awful weather!! The house is well equipped, warm with plenty of hot water for 4 adults and 2 children. The location is second to none - so lovely to sit out of the back decking with a cup of tea in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening. Very peaceful. The only recommendations we would have are to have a shower curtain in the main bathroom so as not to run a bath each day. There were 4 adults staying so not practical to queue up for the ensuite shower room. Also, the bedroom doors swung shut so not possible to leave open - our boys would have appreciated a door stop. We did not find the single beds or the double very comfortable .... the mattresses may be in need of an update. None of this spoilt the holiday though and this feedback is reflected in the ratings we have provided. It was only a short walk to the local village (via the boatyard). The village itself has everything you need from shops to pubs and places to eat or grab a takeaway. Would definitely return to this property if we were holidaying in the Broads again in the future.

Great spot for a fishing break. Our dog loved the garden and we loved the proximity to all the takeaways cafes and shops in Wroxham.
