Located in the beautiful Dartmoor National Park

The holiday lodges lie in a lovely setting that offer a comfortable base from which to explore the surrounding area. There are 10 acres of beautiful, ancient woodland, complete with a stream winding its way through the land, plus wildlife ponds, granite boulders and a 3-acre field, (which is ideal for exercising dogs) and pheasants that come knocking at the door to be fed. A rich variety of plants and woodland flowers offer an idyllic haven for the resident wildlife. This is a brilliant area for walking, relaxing and star gazing as there is no light pollution. Nearby, a golf club and horse riding over Dartmoor are available. Being in the midst of Dartmoor, there are many superb walks, reservoirs, heather-clad tors and Dartmoor ponies. There are many places of interest for the whole family. If you are a keen walker, the Teign Valley is well known for its delightful woodland footpaths. It is an area of outstanding beauty and in the springtime, the Dunsford woods are famous for beautiful natural daffodils and a little later, a carpet of bluebells. All three properties can be booked together to accommodate up to 7 guests. Exeter is only 10 miles. Beach 14 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles.

Amazing holiday in this perfect little cottage. Ideal if you have a dog, enclosed front garden. Everything you could possibly want in the cottage. Perfect surrounding area for walking your dog off the lead. Beautiful river side walks. Lots of national trust places. My only gripe (and it's a small gripe, one which we overcame very easily) is that the shower is temperamental. So we needed to bath every day and wash our hair in the sink. Which is not a hardship and it wouldn't stop us staying in this cottage again. (Which we plan to do).

We found Woodside Lodge to be a home from home. There was everything there which you could possibly need. The cottage is set in an idyllic setting in their own valley which was nature in its true beauty. The owner and her daughter welcomed us warmly and helped us all they could to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Our two dogs found it more than interesting and enjoyed their daily walks. It could-not be faulted in any way and we would recommend the cottage to others, who enjoy a similar holiday and would most certainly wouldn't hesitate to holiday there in the future. So overall, a delightful place to stay.
