Lawned garden with sitting-out area and garden furniture. 1-acre garden (shared with owner and other property on-site). Private parking for 1 car. No smoking. Please note: No children, except babies under 6 months. There are drops in the grounds and an unfenced river in the garden, 20 yards.

Nestled in the secluded valley of the Dulas, with the sounds of the river flowing through the two acre garden, peace and tranquillity are real features here. Slate floors, exposed beams and thick stone walls all add to the character and make for a romantic holiday hideaway. Jasmine Cottage forms part of a traditional Welsh Chapel, dating from 1825. The owners live in the upper part of the chapel. Adjoining the property on the opposite bank of the river are oak woods scheduled as a SSSI, with paths that lead past a picturesque gorge with waterfalls and then on to the villages of Aberllefenni and Corris. It is ideal walking country, with easy reach of Snowdonia. Within half an hour’s drive are beaches at Ynyslas and Aberdovey. Closer still are the nature reserves at Ynys Hir (RSPB), Cors Dyfi (Osprey Project). The market town of Machynlleth and the Museum of Modern Art - Wales are worth exploring, as is the Centre for Alternative Technology just down the valley at Pantperthog. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles.
Jasmine Cottage can be booked together with Honeysuckle Cottage (26471) to accommodate up to 4 guests.

a friendly welcome with a homemade loaf to a lovely warm cottage by a gushing stream, with a heap of wood for the burner, a comfy bed and some quality peace+quiet. Stock up on supplies as the nearest shops are in Machynlleth a few miles away. Recommended!

If this cottage is available stay here. Very relaxing could not ask for anything more. Just do your food shopping before you get there 44 miles to Morrison's. Fantastic place, loved it. Open fire, good size fridgefreezer and very comfortable bed. Clean and very cosy cottage. You will not want for nothing, bathroom is roomy and the cottage warm. Owners are lovely and generous. Thank you had a wonderful time x

In the middle of nowhere. Great place to get away from it all. Beautiful location and cottage. Beautiful walks in the amazing countryside. Straight outside the cottage surrounded by a river, trees, and hills. Great base for exploring beautiful snowdonia and surrounding area. Also not too far from incredible beaches. We went in November and it was still beautiful even though it was raining. It was probably quieter and so better being off season. Our hosts were brilliant. Also bonus that our 2 dogs could go free.

A very quiet and peaceful holiday cottage with lovely woodland walks which our dog enjoyed and fishing if you are a keen angler. The owners Malcolm and Alison were very helpful making sure we had the essentials milk, eggs , bread, tea, coffee and homemade cookies. Would recommend this holiday cottage to anyone.

We had a lovely stay at Capel Bethesda with our dog, and will definitely be returning. The welcome supplies were a nice touch, and the cottage was well stocked with local maps etc. The only negative thing we can say is that the cutlery could do with an upgrade - which shows how excellent everything else was!
