Starting life as a hay-trailer on the farm, Bustard Hut (UK41465) has been lovingly converted into a family cabin. The king-size bed with panoramic views across the fields offers a bit of luxury for mum and dad, and the sturdy bunkbed is a hit with the kids. The kitchenette has all you need with a fridge, electric hob, and microwave along with unlimited firewood and marshmallows. The bathroom is also en-suite with a shower. Seating/dining areas are provided both inside and outside.
The site is particularly popular with young families and couples, although anyone keen on nature and particularly birdwatching will love the experience of staying on the estate. The history of the area is hard to beat. Stonehenge is just around the corner, and a walk around our grounds alone will take you past 5000-year-old earthworks and burial mounds. In 2021 a hoard of bronze-age axe-heads was found in one of our fields. In the wider area there are some world-class hikes to be discovered, taking in the famous white-horses of the Ridgeway, Avebury and Wansdyke to the north, or the New-Forest with its wild ponies to the south. Finally, our area has some award-winning eateries and vineyards to be explored, particularly in Winchester and the villages surrounding the river Test (also great for a spot of wild swimming).
The Coach House (UK41465) is a charming Grade II listed cottage sleeping up to four guests and brings all the character of a period Victorian property with original windows, floorboards, and other features. There are two comfortable bedrooms, one kingsize and one twin perfect for families. Downstairs there is a fully equipped Kitchenette with kitchen table to seat four, an electric log burner and a small sofa. Also, downstairs is a large bathroom with shower.
