The views from the approach road to the apartment were beautiful, and as soon as we walked through the front door we knew we had chosen well. The apartment was warm, clean and light, well equipped and comfortable, with lovely views out onto the superb gardens. Good shower, plenty of hot water, very comfy bed. Lovely to be able to walk in the grounds especially early in the morning and the evening, when we had it to ourselves. We were in the area primarily to visit family but the apartment is in a good location for visiting East Devon and West Dorset. The apartment was very good value .

Cosy little flat in an amazing location. Comfy sofa and beds, kitchen has all the necessaries, WiFi is a bit patchy but functional. The extensive gardens are amazing, and its lovely to wander in the early morning or the evening without seeing another soul, enjoying the huge view. Watching the sun rise from the shelter at the top of the wild flower meadow was stunning.

Really enjoyed our stay at Gardeners Rest. The gardens are amazing, would have appreciated a map of the gardens in the property at the beginning of our stay.
