Bryn Salem was absolutely stunning! Me, my boyfriend and 2 of our friends stayed here for 3 nights and it was perfect for a getaway! We had the best time just relaxing, watching films (we connected our Netflix to the tv). The hot tub definitely topped off the weekend! Wales in January isn’t the warmest but it didn’t stop us from exploring! We went on a walk up the hills which was lovely however very windy and cold! So was bliss to come back and warm up in the hot tub. We met Emma and her partner when they came to introduce themselves! They’re amazing! Such kind and jolly people, anything we had a problem with such as finding the cottage and where the best pubs were, they were happy to help! Overall I couldn’t fault Bryn Salem at all! Truly a wonderful place to stay.

Would definitely go again. The cottage is beautifully furnished, very family friendly. The owners live only 2 doors down and are so helpful and friendly, but not interfering. We were 3 generations of family in our party with challenging requirements due to 3 disabled members including our son who is severely autistic. Everything was perfect, the privacy of the cottage, the comfort, the beautiful countryside surrounding it, the luxuries such as the outdoor hot tub, a rolltop bath, waterfall walk in shower, 3 toilets including an ensuite and another shower in the master bedroom, all 3 bedrooms are big and spacious with lots of wardrobe and drawer space and stunning views. The beds were incredibly comfortable. Stone flooring with underfloor heating throughout downstairs. All mod cons. TVs in every bedroom and large wallmounted TV in livingroom. Very warm and cosy. Wood burning stove. Games and puzzles which we all enjoyed.

we had a very good week at Bryn Salem overall facility's were top class quite central and near to places we wanted to visit there was just one thing the directions to the cottage were a little confusing the directions stated that sat nav would take us on to the lane were the cottage is on and then look for a white cottage on your left (the cottage is on the right at a t junction just a few yards on) however this did not spoil our stay overall we enjoyed our weel

Wonderful stay ay Bryn Salem, traditional Welsh cottage but beautifully decorated in a modern style. The mix of old and new compliment each other very well. Large comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen and underfloor heating downstairs all make it a home from home. Lovely modern landscaped outside area with built in BBQ and wow did we enjoy the hot tub..... we even went in it in the rain!. Great views to the hills and mountains and next to a paddock with sheep, horses and an abundance of pheasants. Very quiet and relaxing location, but this does mean you will need to travel a little if you want a few beers or a meal out. Parking just a little tricky if you have more than one car, but its no problem to park a 3 minute walk away just up the lane. Its about 30 minutes to the coast, but ideal for our hill walking, jet spotting (Mach Loop) family group. Would definately stay again

What an absolutely beautiful cottage. Decorated beautifully - a real home from home. The cottage is equipped with everything you need to cook. The owners left a lovely welcome hamper of locally sourced essentials and even a treat for our family dog. The owners were happy to share local knowledge of places to visit and there's a fab book of walks in the cottage. Would definitely visit again!

We had a wonderful week in this most splendid property. The property has been refurbished to a very high standard which made us feel very much at home. All three bedrooms were very comfortable and the 6 of us slept well. The bed linen and towels were excellent, even the two dogs had their own towels! The lounge was large and had plenty of space. The outside patio and garden areas were private and enjoyed good views. We didn't use the BBQ but charcoal and tools were provided. We did use the Hot Tub which was a great bonus at the end of each day. There is ample room for storing equipment such as bikes and if the dog very dirty there is a dog shower outside too! The location is clearly rural with few amenities around but this suited us and there are plenty of interesting places to visit locally and several good pubs which serve food within easy reach too. The owners live a hundred yards away and were very helpful, the welcome pack was fantastic along with fresh cut flowers in the kitchen and the lounge. We heartily recommend this cottage to families looking for a rural retreat with a real homely feel.
