Amazing cottage in a great location. Beautiful views and surrounded by walks to explore. Everything we needed had been thought of from the moment we booked the holiday and the owners couldn’t have been more helpful or thoughtful, right down to the welcome tray of tea, coffee and delicious homemade treats. Would highly recommend for a cosy, rural retreat where you can relax and unwind. Being dog friendly was a huge selling point for us too.

Everything was excellent - just cautious with above scores. Gales Wednesday night led to 3-4 hour power cut Thursday - added to excitement. Will bring stove in future as safeguard.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your review. We are pleased that you thought everything was excellent and that you would like to stay again. However, we don't understand your comment: "just cautious with above scores" and we are confused about how we might have improved your score! During your stay, there was a power cut affecting the whole village - but only for 2 hours. Even though this is a very rare event, we walked to your cottage, checked that you had everything you needed and provided you with an update from our electricity distributor. We were about to give you a portable gas stove too but you walked off to the forest (at which point, the power came back on). We really hope it didn't inconvenience you and we hope to see you again soon.

Wonderful location, spectacular views and ideal central base for exploring lots of fantastic parts of Wales. Only minor disappointment - and it is very minor - is that we thought the freezer would be in the cottage block and easily accessible, whereas it is in the adjoining barn. We did not use it, and managed easily with the fridge and its freezer compartment, so it was just a minor misunderstanding on our part, but otherwise everything we could think of was provided. Really comfortable, warm beds, a lovely welcome tray with tea and coffee, home-made biscuits, flowers from the garden, milk in the fridge. Very nice bathroom and walk-in shower. The information folder with planned routes is brilliant, and we used route 1 daily and part of route 2- very clear instructions. Work commitments meant we had to leave a day early, which was a shame, and we hope to return soon.
