Beinn Breagha has been renovated to a high standard. On entering the property, you are led into the lounge, which is bright and spacious, leading through into the dining room and then a good size and well-equipped kitchen. Upstairs there are two bedrooms and a shared large shower room.
Outside by the backdoor, there is a wee porch that has been given a facelift and is now a lovely reading snug with Ben Nevis in the background. The small garden at the rear of the property has a wooden circular picnic bench to spend time eating outside (there are supermarkets in either direction to buy holiday provisions) or take in the last rays on the summer evenings.
Fort William itself is within easy walking distance or go north and you can walk to the Ben Nevis Distillery, or the Highland Soap Company. There is a canal laround 2 miles away from the house so on a nice evening it is a lovely walk to go down and just stroll along the canal.
From Inverlochy there are day trips to Oban, the Isle of Mull, the Isle of Skye (via the Mallaig ferry and return by road past Eilean Donan Castle). Loch Ness, Glencoe with the stunning mountains, no matter what the weather is there is a mystical feel in the air which is a humbling experience.
Not forgetting to book well in advance for the Jacobite train better known to the younger generation as the Hogwarts Express and being the same viaduct that appeared in the film. The train leaves from the station in Fort William (again not far to walk to) and takes you over Glenfinnan Viaduct to the fishing village of Mallaig, where you will have time for a stroll and a delicious fresh fish lunch, before returning on to Fort William. The scenery that you will pass is breath taking so make sure you have your camera with you.
