A lovely place to stay, especially with dogs. Not luxury but what we expected. It would have been nice to have comfy seats for outside with and umbrella but we managed. Really enjoyed our stay, it was very private. We have already booked it again for next year.

Third time we have been to beech cottage. Long way to get there but worth the 7/8 hr drive.

The cottage is in a perfect spot if, like us, you like peace and quiet and gazing at water. It is thoughtfully equipped including new-looking crockery, cutlery and bath towels. There are only three things we found negative about the cottage: the saucepans were in a sorry state; the bottom sheet on the bed in the front bedroom was old and pilled, and the "initial supply" of fuel for the fire was a bit mean, consisting of just enough coal for one fire - not enough for one evening in chilly April. Apart from that, we were very comfortable there and would definitely go back.

It is a little bit of heaven right here on Earth we loved it 💕

Outraged at having to pay £50 for our two dogs for the week. Something we have always avoided, however circumstances dictated that we needed to book at short notice. We have stayed at neighbouring Shore Cottage five times (no dog fee!) and it is significantly better in every way to Beech Cottage.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; We have always welcomed pets into our holiday home and we are proud to be pet friendly. Many properties within the Agency portfolio request a small charge for accepting pets, this is to cover the cost of extra cleaning. If there is a charge for taking a pet to a property, customers are told at the time of booking. The pet charge is clearly displayed during the booking process on the website and also shown on a guests booking confirmation.

Beautiful location, private and peaceful. Cottage a little tired around the edges. Excellent for dogs and a base for walking and exploring the area.

We had a fantastic relaxing time at the cottage. Beautiful setting with wonderful walks. The cottage itself had everything needed, we saw a seal and an otter, we would definitely come back.

A Beautiful Location, but especially for dog owners because you can smell dogs in the house even if there aren't any.
