This was our second visit to the forge, and we have already booked again for next year! Very comfortable, cosy (especially with the log burner going), and well equipped. The shower did have a tendency to go a bit lukewarm in the morning (especially for the second user), but this is a small thing compared quality of everything else. Loads to do in the area and a very quiet location for the house. Looking forward to coming back next year :-)

We stayed for a couple of nights over the Easter holidays as a last minute booking. The cottage was absolutely fabulous with breathtaking and uninterrupted views out to the sea. Inside it was immaculate and the lovely gesture of wine, cake and milk was most welcomed. We spent most of our time when in the cottage in the garden room watching the birds on the feeder and just admiring the views. Amy was most welcoming and pleasant spending time to talk us through various walks around the area and along the beach. We will definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting a quiet, relaxing break in superb surroundings.

We can honestly say this is the best cottage we have stayed in. From first walking in the door and until leaving it felt so cosy and warm. The cottage was lovely and clean and we couldn't fault anything. It is in a fabulous location and we found plenty to do. Thank you for the warm welcome and the delicious home made bread and cake. We will be back......

The cottage is in a quiet position with wonderful views over the sea. It is well equipped and clean . The owner is a very welcoming and pleasant person. The cottage is dog friendly too. There are many places to visit in the area with coastal and forest walks a short drive away. We have already booked for next year.

What a fantastic cottage. The views, the cows that we fed bread every evening, the sheep in the field in front, cleanliness and off course the owner Amy! We were welcomed with fresh home made break and cakes which was a nice touch. The children want to come here for Xmas. We are so glad we choose the Forge. We also hired a fishing boat on Loch Ken (Galloway Activity Centre) which we had a pleasant time.
