Location OK.. not really near to anything of interest. You need to travel for that. Road leading to property is in poor state of repair and full of pot holes and unpainted speed bumps..they creep up on it has massive potential to damage your car Place was grubby when we arrived. Hob, dirty , windows dirty, living area very dusty and dead blue bottles everywhere so that was nice. There is no wi fi. Which although does not state there is WiFi it also doesn't state there isn't. No blind in main bedroom on.french doors so daylight streams in really early. No bin.liners, washing up liquid or toilet per. Well a tiny bit that ran out within a couple hours and no where to buy some as all closed due to queens funeral so that was really helpful. We did make a few mistakes ..we moved a sofa to see the TV better and forgot to move it back. My husband accidentally burnt a saucepan and left bacon under grill !!! My daughter also left an empty plate under the bed. These are things we accepted we had done and apologised for. The phone call I received regarding the above was pantonising, rude condescending and un necessary. I was told cleaners were furious. I was spoken to like a naughty school child. This place is cheap yes. However if you don't like being spoken to like a 6 year old over the phone the day after your holiday....I'd give it a swerve.

Quiet location, well equipped lodge 25mins from Bude beach and 1mile to Bradworthy and the pub which did a very nice Sunday lunch. As you would expect the roads are very narrow and some are in poor condition so care is needed going to and from the lodge.
